Major League Baseball (MLB) told three San Francisco Giants pitchers they had violated uniform rules after they wrote Bible verses on their "Pride Night" caps during a June 12 game. CatholicVote President Kelsey Reinhardt stated that CatholicVote "will not stand by while players' religious freedom is chilled or punished." She pointed out that the organization has taken on MLB teams twice before, prevailed both times, and was "prepared to do it again."

POPE WEIGHS LAST ATTEMPT TO AVERT RIFT WITH SSPX
Pope Leo said yesterday he may still attempt once more to convince the leadership of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX) to reverse course on the illicit episcopal ordinations that the Vatican has said would result in excommunication. “I am considering making another appeal and saying ‘don't do this, let's try to live the communion of the Church,’” he said. "But it is their choice.”
